Year 10 Careers Day

On 26^th September Oxclose Community Academy hosted an exciting and informative Careers Fair for our Year 10 pupils, and the event was a resounding success!

The fair featured a diverse range of organisations, each offering valuable insights into possible further education and future career possibilities. Amongst the participants were Sunderland College, HM Revenue & Customs, Komatsu, The Royal Navy, Newcastle College, HM Prison & Probation Service, Northumbria Police, Park View Academy of Sport, Gentoo, Northern network and many more.

For many of our pupils, this was their first glimpse into the world of careers, and the fair provided a wonderful opportunity for them to start thinking about their future aspirations. The pupils were given set questions to ask providers, helping them enthusiastically engage with the various exhibitors, and making for a relaxed atmosphere.

Our visitors praised the pupils and were incredibly impressed with their behaviour and level of engagement. As an Academy we are incredibly proud of our pupils and their behaviour was a testament to the bright futures that lie ahead for these young minds.

Oxclose Community Academy is proud to be a part of this essential step in nurturing the dreams and ambitions of our students. We're excited about the promising future that awaits these rising stars and look forward to more such events that inspire and encourage them to achieve what they set out to.
