Jesus College, Cambridge Y10 Residenial 

This week, a small group of our Year 10 students visited Jesus College at Cambridge University. 

They have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to explore higher education options, and get a taste of life at one of our most prestigious academic institutions. 

Students have took part in fascinating taster sessions in Chemistry, learning about hydrophobic materials, and Forensic Phonetics, discovering how knowledge of accent and dialogue helps forensic phoneticians to solve complex criminal and civil crimes. 

As well as spending time exploring Jesus College, our students also enjoyed a tour of nearby Christ’s College, learning about its history, and its most famous alumnus, Charles Darwin. Afterwards, students enjoyed a brief sightseeing walk through the heart of Cambridge, including the stunning King’s College. 

As you can see, they have had a very busy and fulfilling two days. Throughout the visit, our students represented our community superbly. They demonstrated curiosity, resilience, and ambition. Well done Year 10- we are so proud of you.
